Peggy Noonan

Margaret Ellen " Peggy " Noonan ( born September 7, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York City ) is an American book and best-selling author and columnist who writes mainly for the Wall Street Journal.

She wrote speeches for the U.S. President Ronald Reagan and was one of his assistants. Noonan must be identified by their political writings as a Republican. She was instrumental in the election of George Bush as U.S. president, as its famous campaign slogan, " Read my lips: no new taxes" (Eng. "Take my word for it: No new taxes " ) comes from her. Noonan is a multiple winner of an honorary doctorate.
