Pehuenches Department

The department Pehuenches located in the north of the province of Neuquen in southern Argentina and is one of 16 administrative units in the province.

It is bordered to the north by the province of Mendoza, on the east by the province of Río Negro, on the south by the Departamento ANELO, on the southwest by the Departamento Loncopue and to the west by the departments Ñorquín and Chos Malal.

The capital of the department Pehuenches is Rincón de los Sauces.

The department Pehuenches divided into municipalities Rincón de los Sauces ( first category ), Buta Ranquil ( second category ), Barrancas ( third category ) and Octavio Pico ( Comisión de Fomento ).
