Peisander (general)

Peisander († 394 BC before Knidos ) was a Spartan general in the Corinthian War.

In the year 394 BC, he was entrusted by his brother, the Spartan king Agesilaus II, with the command of the Spartan fleet. However Peisander was a relatively inexperienced commander, so he lost the battle of Cnidus, a naval battle off the coast of Asia Minor against the Persians. He came during the battle for life.
