Pekalongan

The town of Pekalongan is located on the northern coast of the island of Java and belongs to the province of Central Java. The name " Pekalongan " comes from the word Kalong ( Javanese language ), which means bats. It refers to the city as " Kota Batik " ( Batik City) because it is very well known for batik art.
