Pekka Rinne
Pekka channel ( born November 3, 1982 in Kempele ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender who stands since 2005 at the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League contract.
Career
Even as he played with the junior team of Kärpät Oulu in the Finnish Junior A- League 2000/ 01, the channel got a first look at the SM- liiga with the A- team of Kärpät. From 2001 to 2005, he played as a backup in the A- team for the goalkeeper Niklas Bäckström Kärpät - and came up with some inserts as a starter. He was selected in the eighth round in a total of 258 positions at the NHL Entry Draft in 2004 by the Nashville Predators.
For the 2005/ 06 season he moved to the Milwaukee Admirals, the farm team of the Nashville Predators in the American Hockey League. He also came on some missions at the Predators in the NHL. After the number-one keeper of the Predators Tomas Vokoun turned out and for him Chris Mason stepped in, gutter became the backup of the Predators, not only in the last four games of the regular season, but also in the first round of play-offs on the the team but not it past. In the season 2006/ 07 trough was continued in the Predators organization. After the Predators Vokoun had transferred to the Florida Panthers, the channel should be the backup goalie Chris Mason in the 2007/ 08 season. By the feeble performance of Mason came Dan Ellis, the Predators had brought from Dallas in July to more and more missions. Ellis was his strong performance even after a short time the new goalkeeper of the Predators, by Mason once again became the backup goalie and gutter had to go back to the farm team of the Predators. After managing the Predators could agree with Ellis on a new contract, they transferred Mason on the day of the NHL Entry Draft in 2008 for a fourth- round election to St. Louis Blues. Thus Pekka gutter once again became the back-up goalie Dan Ellis.
Pekka channel established over the course of the 2008/09 season as first-choice goalkeeper of the Predators. For a real Toptorhüter the NHL itself trough developed in the 2010/11 season, as he completed 64 games during the regular season and deflected in these 93 % of the shots. In the following season the Finn broke the franchise record for most season wins by a goaltender, the previously Tomáš Vokoun held with 36 games won in the 2005/06 season, with 43 victories. Also in the 2011/12 season he surpassed with 25 career shutouts in the jersey of the Predators Vokouns record for most games without conceding a goal, which was 21 shutouts before.
Due to the NHL lockout played trough in September 2012 for the HC Dinamo Minsk in the Kontinental Hockey League.
