Pelikan#Products

Pelikanol was a first time in 1904 by today's Pelikan AG adhesive sold from potato starch for gluing paper. The white paste was later applied with a brush with a small plastic spatula ( which stood in a small side compartment in the round tin in water) and is also produced in the chemical composition most closely with the Pritt glue stick in the newer generation of starch, to compare.

According to the Pelikan AG led declines in sales and new legal provisions that are no longer allowed the typical marzipan scent, for setting the product.

A similar, if not similar, paper glue is marketed since 1927 until today under the name Coccoina in the classic tin can that was used in similar form until the mid 20th century by Pelican. This adhesive also has the typical bitter almond fragrance.

Pelikanol is also the title of a song of the band Einstürzende Neubauten.
