Pell Grant

The Pell Grant program is a public education grant program of the U.S. Department of Education. It will allow as " in need of " classified student applicants a (very expensive, usually in the U.S.) study. It was named after U.S. Senator Claiborne Pell and originally called Basic Educational Opportunity Grant Program. The granting of the aid shall be made according to very strict criteria, the so-called "financial need" formula.

Maximum funding is currently $ 4,310 per year until 2012 to increase to $ 5,400. This sum is not usually sufficient for the funding of studies by far. Only in about one- third of their tuition fees at public universities thereof may be disputed.
