Peltuinum was an ancient city in Italy in the municipality of Prata d' Ansidonia, about 20 km east of the city of L' Aquila.

The inhabitants of the city were among the Vestinians. In Roman times Peltuinum was a municipium, which lay on the Via Claudia Nova and belonged to 4 Augustan region.

The wall of the city, enclosed an area of about 22 ha today still visible are the remains of the city wall, a gate of the town, the amphitheater, a theater and a temple dedicated to Apollo probably.

From Peltuinum came the senator Gnaeus Domitius Corbulo and commander.
