Pembroke Parish

Pembroke Parish called a 4.7 km ² Administrative Region of Bermuda with 10,641 inhabitants ( 2012).

The in German-speaking countries comparable to a county Parish is located in the center of the Bermudan main island of Grand Bermuda and extends west into the Great Sound ( Great Sound ). For administrative district also includes some west and south offshore islands in the Great Sound. Pembroke Parish is bordered to the east Devonshire Parish. Hamilton, the capital of Bermuda, although located in the area, but not as part of county-level municipality to Pembroke Parish.

The administrative area is named after the English aristocrats William Herbert, 3rd Earl of Pembroke ( 1580-1630 ) named.
