Pen Densham

Pen Densham ( born October 14, 1947 in Ruislip - Northwood Urban District, Middlesex, England ) is a Canadian film and television producer, director and screenwriter of British origin.

Life

Born in England, he immigrated to Canada and was around the year 1966 a Canadian citizen. From 1973 he worked as a producer, in the following year he was with the short film Thoroughbred his debut as a director and screenwriter. From the mid- 1980s, he focused on feature films and television series. He has directed four feature films. In the 1990s he was involved in the development and production of several television series, including Space Rangers and The Magnificent Seven.

For the short film Do not Mess with Bill, he was nominated for the Academy Awards in 1981 for an Oscar for Best Short Documentary. In 1974 he received a nomination in the category Best Short Film. For his participation in the series The Outer Limits - The unknown dimension 1995, he was awarded a CableACE Award and won a 1997 Gemini Award.

In 2011, he appeared as author of the book Riding the Alligator: Strategies for a Career in Screenplay Writing ... and Not Getting Eaten in appearance.

Densham is married and has two children since 1974.
