Pencil case
A pencil case or pencil case, pencil case, pencil case, pen box, Federpennal is a folding wallet, often with a laterally mounted zipper, made of fabric, plastic or leather.

In Switzerland, only the term in use case - Pencil case there is the common name for a (simple ) wooden pen box with hinged cover ( with hinges ), which is no longer common but since the 1980s.
In Franconia and Swabia in Bavaria the name is mostly used pencil case.
