Penelope Wilton

Penelope Alice Wilton, OBE ( born June 3, 1946 in Scarborough, North Yorkshire ) is a British actress.

Life and career

Penelope Wilton was born in 1946 in north-east England Scarborough, daughter of businessman Clifford Wilton and the tap dancer and actress Alice Travers. The acting was her passion laid by her mother, who comes from a family of actors, in the cradle. Penelope Wilton is the niece of the actor Bill Travers and Linden Travers, and cousin of the actor Richard Morant. Her grandparents owned their own theater.
