Pengxi County

Pengxi (蓬溪县, Pengxi Xiàn ) is the district of the city of Suining in southwest China's Sichuan Province. It has an area of 1,251 km ² and has about 750,000 inhabitants ( 2002). Its main town is the large village Chicheng (赤 城镇).

The Pagoda of Jiufeng Temple ( Jiufeng si ta鹫峰 寺塔) from the time of the Song Dynasty and the Baofan Temple ( Baofan si宝 梵 寺) are on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2006.
