Penny Arcade

Penny Arcade is a webcomic and English-language blog, the priority topic Computer and dedicated to video games and is written by Jerry Holkins and illustrated by Mike Krahulik.

Penny Arcade is one of the most popular webcomics on the net. The first comic book was published on 18 November 1998, making Penny Arcade to one of the oldest still regularly updated webcomics. New comic strips appear in the moment every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

In the comic it comes to the two alter egos of the authors, Tycho Brahe and Jonathan Gabriel ( "Gabe "). The two characters spend a lot of time to consume computer and video games and comment on another major theme in the strips are their disputes. Often the strips refer also to everyday things, like other Internet sites, family reunions and the like.

Krahulik and Holkins both live by Penny Arcade, which means that they invest all their time in this site. Donations were accepted earlier, now the site is borne solely by advertising and sales promotion. The website is visited daily by several thousand people, which makes it an extremely successful Internet presence.

Closely associated with the blog and comic Penny Arcade is also founded by Krahulik and Holkins Penny Arcade Expo, which is today after E3, the second- biggest game show in the USA.

A series of computer role-playing games to Penny Arcade Adventures On the Rain - Slick called Precipice of Darkness has been released for Linux, Mac OS X, Windows, and Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. The series was initially set after two episodes, but in 2012 with a third episode that gave the earlier design and instead took on the style of classic SNES RPGs, resurrected.
