Pension Volkmann was founded in 1983 in East Berlin Folkrockduo.

Band History

The singer and guitarist Peter Butschke ( born March 25, 1950 in Berlin) and the guitarist Reinhard Sonnenburg -Buchholz ( born September 21, 1953 in Berlin, † 1 February 2007 in Berlin ) developed a unique style. Butschke sang with a sonorous voice, Sonnenberg -Buchholz added him with his virtuosity. The socially critical lyrics wrote Werner karma. Freedom, passion, feelings and humanity were the subjects of the pieces.

Both musicians studied at the Academy of Music " Hanns Eisler" Berlin. Your acquired there professionalism and their different personalities resulted in a total of three albums.
