Pensioners' Party (Italy)

The Partito Pensionati ( German: Party of Pensioners ) is a party in Italy under the leadership of Carlo Fatuzzo. It was founded on 19 October 1987 in Milan.

The party sees itself primarily as a representative of the rights of pensioners, but also has a pronounced otherwise socio-political profile. The Partito Pensionati is not represented in the Italian Parliament, but reached in elections to the European Parliament in 2004, 1.1% of the vote and one seat occupied by the Chairman Carlo Fatuzzo. The party was part of the European Democratic Alliance, an alliance of conservative eurosceptic parties that formed a common group (EPP -ED ), together with the Christian Democratic European People's Party. At the 2009 European elections the party joined together with other right-wing parties under the name "Polo dell'Autonomia " to, but did not reach a seat
