Pentachord

The term refers to a five- tone chord, in which five tones sounded at the same time.

Five sounds occur less frequently than triads and seventh chords, but can always be found more often in classical music and jazz as in other areas of music. The most prominent example are ( dominant ) seventh chords with option tones, such as the Dominantseptnonakkord. Another example is the beta -, gamma - and delta - chords and fünftönige cluster. Furthermore, it is possible to add to a triad a sixth and another Optionston, as can be seen in sheet music sample.
