Penthu

Pentu was an Egyptian vizier, who under King (Pharaoh) Tutankhamun (ca. 1333-1323 BC) officiated.

Pentu as vizier is so far only from a pot inscription that was found in the grave of Tutankhamun ( KV62 ), is known. This inscription reads vizier Pentu. It is possible that this person is the same as a first servant of the Aten in the house of Aten in Akhetaten and chief physician Pentju, which in turn officiated under Akhenaten and is known by his grave at Amarna (No. 5).
