Pentland (crater)

Pentland is an impact crater in the extreme south of the lunar front side, southeast of the crater Zach and northeast of Curtius. The rim is eroded, the interior mostly flat with a small central peak.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Irish geographer Joseph Barclay Pentland.
