People of God

Children of God or sons ( and daughters ) of God is used in the New Testament of the Bible by Paul designation for Christians.

By " relationship " with God, they are heirs or descendants of God (cf. eg ( Gal 4.7 EU) ) and joint heirs with Christ (cf. eg (Rom 8,17 EU) ). By communion with the Son of God Jesus they have, this expression, proportion says on its divine sonship. They are not servants ( see, for example ( John 15:15 EU) ) and not slaves of sin (cf. eg (Jn 8.34 to 36 EU) ), which forced an alien will ( the " flesh" ) follow, but his children who act in the freedom of love (Evangelical freedom ) from self-intelligence to fulfill the commandments and to do good in the name of God (cf. eg ( Rom 8:15 -17 EU) ). In the Spirit of adoption, Christians should be called children of God (cf. 1 Jn 3:1) and can cry, Abba, Father (cf. (Rom 8,15 EU) ).
