Pepee

Pepee is a Turkish children's 3D animated series of the station TRT Çocuk. It is produced from Düşyeri animated film studio. Target group of the series are preschoolers. Pepee is three times a day (morning, noon, evening ) broadcast. In each case, a few sequences are shown one after the other.

Action

The series revolves around the eponymous cartoon character Pepee, a little boy with a mostly blue cap. In the individual consequences Pepee learn something each, eg Colors, shapes, seasons, prepositions, Turkish folk dances. In addition to dialogues in particular between Pepee and Şuşu there is almost every episode at least a thematically appropriate song, usually sung by Şuşu.

Main characters

Pepee:

The main character, an approximately four year old boy. The name comes from a common Pepee in Anatolia term for children with language difficulties.

Şuşu:

The narrator, who is not visible to the viewer. Spoken it is from the producer Ayşe Şule Bilgiç. She maintains an ongoing dialogue with the children and animals, for the adults does not seem to exist it.

Sila:

Pepees precocious cousin. They often take care of the flowers in her garden.

Zulu:

A silent pink giraffe. If they do not just entertains the children, she is either in a deck chair or hanging giraffe suits on the clothesline.

Bebe:

Pepees little sister, in the course of the series she celebrates her second birthday.

Köpüş:

The dog in the series.

Maymuş:

An orange, little monkey who lives in a house in a tree, with a train traveling through the countryside and has a fondness for bananas.

Kalis:

A mute pin with a face, who assists the narrator. He can create things by making them distinguished.

Minor characters

Among the minor characters Eke, little brother Silas, and Silas Pepees parents and grandparents as well as the common Zulus seven different colored giraffes siblings heard. In the series even more animals come before, who live partly on the grandparents' farm, including the cows Kara and Sari Möcük, the sheep Mecik, further cats, ladybugs, turtles, frogs and goats.

Similarities with Pocoyo

In the Turkish media has repeatedly reported on similarities with the Spanish series Pocoyo and a legal dispute with their production company Zinkia Entertainment.

Merchandising

Due to the great popularity of the series, the main character Pepee serves as advertising for numerous products. TRT Director İbrahim Şahin stated in August 2013 that TRT 1,480,000 TL 've taken with license sales.

TRT Çocuk published a children's magazine called " Pepee Dergisi " are sold by more than 100,000 copies monthly.

The company Berko İlaç sold with the main character Pepee as advertising dietary supplements ..

The Düşyeri studio sells a large number of licensed Pepee products.
