Pepero

Pepero ( 빼빼로 ) is a confectionery product, which is produced by the South Korean company Lotte Confectionery. It came in 1982 in the trade and is inspired by the Japanese manufacturer Ezaki Glico Pocky product. There are different flavors like chocolate, strawberry, chocolate or cheese.

Pepero Day

Pepero Day is a festival in South Korea, which takes place each year on November 11 since 11/11 looks like four Pepero sticks. The day is mainly used by young people and couples to exchange Pepero sticks, other candies and other gifts. The manufacturer Lotte support the festival, but claimed that it has nothing to do with the origin.
