William Percival " Percy " Harvin (born 28 May 1988 in Virginia Beach, Virginia) is an American professional American football player at the position of wide receiver. He plays for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League ( NFL).

Career

College career

Harvin played for the Florida Gators, the college team of the University of Florida. In its first year, the so-called Freshmen Year, he was honored as a college freshman of the year. His team won the BCS National Championship Game, Percy Harvin, who was alternately used as a wide receiver and quarterback, came up with 22 and 60 erlaufene erworfene yards and a touchdown.

NFL Career

As part of the NFL Combine Harvin tested positive for marijuana. However, the Vikings committed the then 20 -year-old wide receiver as their first player in the NFL Draft 2009. His first touchdown he scored directly in the opening game against the Cleveland Browns. As the first player of the Minnesota Vikings, he was able to achieve in each case a touchdown in the first three games of the season. At the end of his first season, Harvin recorded a total of eight touchdowns, two of them by kickoff returns and an average of nine yards per play. Surprisingly, he was elected immediately after his first season in the Pro Bowl as a kick returner. He was also awarded the NFL Rookie of the Year Award.

11 March 2013 Harvin was a first and a seventh round draft pick, and a draft pick traded from 2014 to the Seattle Seahawks, with which he could win the Super Bowl in the very first season. He scored right after kickoff of the second half, a touchdown after a kickoff return.
