Pericle Felici

Pericle Felici Cardinal ( born August 1, 1911 in Segni, Rome Province, Italy, † March 22, 1982 in Foggia ) was a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Pericle Felici received his theological and philosophical education in Segni and Rome. He received on 28 October 1933, the sacrament of Holy Orders, and then worked as a university teacher in Rome. 1940 awarded him Pope Pius XII. the title of a secret chamberlain of His Holiness. From 1947 to 1960 Pericle Felici worked as an auditor for the Tribunal of the Roman Rota. From 1950 to 1959 he was spiritual director of the Pontifical Roman Seminary. In 1960 he became Secretary General of the Commission for the preparation of the Second Vatican Council.

On September 3, 1960 Pericle Felici of Pope John XXIII. appointed Titular Archbishop of Samosata. He received his episcopal consecration the pope on 28 October 1960. Pope Paul VI. Pericle Felici took in 1967 as a cardinal deacon with the title Diakonia Apollinare alle Terme Neroniane - Alessandrine in the College of Cardinals, and appointed him president of the Pontifical Commission for the interpretation of the documents of the Second Vatican Council. In 1977 he received the appointment as prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura. Pericle Felice came in 1978 as a cardinal deacon the honor, after the two conclaves of the year to give the Habemus papam the election of John Paul I and John Paul II as head of the Catholic Church of the benediction loggia of St. Peter's Basilica known. In 1979 he was charged while maintaining its titular church of Cardinal Priest pro hac vice.

Pericle Felici died on 22 March 1982 in Foggia and was buried at his birthplace.
