Peripheral neuropathy#Mononeuritis multiplex
When Mononeuropathia multiplex ( gr monos alone; neuron nerve; Latin multiplex many ) is in medicine to a particular distribution pattern of polyneuropathy (multiplex - type). Several nerve trunks are affected simultaneously or at different times. Adjacent nerve trunks, however, are hardly affected.
A sub-form of multiplexing is the Mononeuropathia mononeuritis multiplex, in the broadest sense an inflammatory response is the cause when the nerve injury. The focal neuropathy, the combination of a multiplex Mononeuropathia and referred to a distal symmetric neuropathy.
The Mononeuropathia is multiplexed as a symptom or symptoms are usually part of the other parent or disease. These include
- Diabetes mellitus
- Collagen diseases (eg, lupus erythematosus, " Mixed Connective Tissue Disease ", rheumatoid arthritis, Sjögren 's disease )
- Sarcoidosis
- Amyloidosis
- Tomakulöse neuropathy
- Infectious diseases (for example, neuroborreliosis, AIDS, CMV, herpes zoster, hepatitis B and hepatitis C, leprosy, leptospirosis )
- Severe arterial disease
- Lead poisoning.
