Perkam is a municipality in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen and a member of the administrative community Rain.

Geographical Location
Perkam lies in the Danube- Woods, near the valley of the Little Laber.
Community structure
The municipality has five Perkam officially named districts:
- Bernloh
- Perkam
- Pilling
- Radldorf
- Veitsberg
There is only the district Perkam.
History
Already 863/864, a church was mentioned in today's Perkamer district of Thal churches. Perkam belonged to the accounts office and court Straubing of the Electorate of Bavaria. Created in 1818 the municipality.
On October 1, 1950 part of the municipality of Perkam were ceded to form the new municipality Dürnhart.

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in manufacturing and 113 in trade and transport, no social insurance contributions at the workplace. In other areas, were employed to social security at the workplace 41 people. Social insurance contributions at residence, there were a total of 442 in the manufacturing sector, there were two farms, in construction 2 companies. In addition, in 1999, there were 41 farms with an agricultural area of 903 ha, of which 845 ha of arable land and 58 ha of permanent grassland.
