Perry County is a county located in the state of Tennessee in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Linden.

Geography

The County is located in west-central Tennessee and has an area of ​​1095 square kilometers, of which 21 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Humphreys County, Hickman County, Lewis County, Wayne County, Decatur County and Benton County.

History

Perry County was formed on November 14, 1818 from parts of Hickman County. It was named after Oliver Hazard Perry, a U.S. naval officer in the British -American War.
