Perses (son of Andromeda and Perseus)

Perses (Greek Πέρσης ) is a figure from Greek mythology. According to him, the Persians should be named.

He is the oldest son of Perseus and the Ethiopian princess Andromeda. He was born in Ethiopia, just before Perseus returns with Andromeda to Greece. Perses stay with his grandfather Cepheus and to inherit the kingdom because Cepheus itself has no male heir. He throws later, the Persians, who get their name from him. According to Nicolaus of Damascus, he should be the father of Achaemenes, the mythical ancestor of the Persian royal dynasty of the Achaemenids.
