Personnel of the Shackleton–Rowett Expedition

The Quest Expedition ( Shackleton - Rowett Expedition 1921-1922 ) was the last Antarctic expedition of the polar explorer Ernest Shackleton. Due to the sudden death of Shackleton and shortcomings of the expedition ship, the journey ended prematurely. Originally, the expedition of 24 participants, but only 19 men were with the departure of the Quest of South Georgia on board. Leonard Hussey served as escort for Shackleton's corpse. Eriksen, Mooney and Bee - Mason had left the ship before it reached South Georgia. The yachtsman Gerald Lysaght (1868-1951) accompanied the team only from Plymouth to Madeira.
