Peruvian Armed Forces

The Peruvian Armed Forces ( Spanish: Fuerzas Armadas de la República del Perú ) consists of the following branches of the armed forces:

  • Peruvian army ( Ejército del Perú )
  • Peruvian Navy (Marina de Guerra del Perú )
  • Peruvian Air Force ( Fuerza Aérea del Perú ).

Traditionally, the Peruvian National Police ( Policía Nacional del Perú ) is attributed to the armed forces.

Organization

Conscription in Peru is 24 months. Conscript soldiers to extend their period of service up to six years. Around 64,000 soldiers are conscripts.
