Pete Ham

Pete Ham (born 27 April 1947, Swansea, † April 23, 1975 in London; actually Peter William Ham) was a British rock musician, who became famous as a singer and guitarist of the rock band Badfinger.

In 1966 he was one of Badfingers founding members, in which he played until 1975. Although the other band members composed songs, he was responsible for almost all the band's hits, he also co-wrote with Tom Evans ( Badfinger also ) the classic Without You, which was covered by Nilsson and later by Mariah Carey. In 1975 came the band in such a strong legal and financial difficulties that the sensitive Ham hanged himself in his garage on 23 April of the year.

His daughter Petera was born on 31 May 1975.

Although none of his solo productions were published during his life, but later transferred found solo recordings of him than 7 Park Avenue (1997) and Golders Green ( 1999) on the market.
