Peter Andersson (ice hockey b. 1991)

Peter Andersson ( born April 13, 1991 Kvidinge ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with Frölunda HC in the Elitserien since 2007. His brother Tomas is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Peter Andersson began his career as a hockey player with the Åstorps IK. After several stops at unterklassigen youth teams, made his debut in the Elitserien joined the defenders 2007 Frölunda HC, for the first team he in the 2007/ 08 season was. In his only season he did use point - and unpunished. He spent the entire rest of the season with Frölundas youth teams and was with the U20 European Junior Champion of the Junior League SuperElit. In the following season he played exclusively for the U18 and U20 Junior Frölundas. There he was able to convince so that the Vancouver Canucks chose him in the NHL Entry Draft in 2009 in the fifth round as a total 143 players. In the 2009/10 season the junior national team played a total of 21 games for Frölunda in Elitserien. In parallel, he ran on the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan for Borås HC.

After he had received a professional contract with Frölunda HC in the previous year, Andersson began the 2010/11 season in the squad of the Swedish first division, for which he ran aground in the inaugural International European Trophy before the season starts. In eight games, he scored two goals in this. In parallel, he played again for the Borås HC HockeyAllsvenskan. In addition, he signed on 2 June 2010 a three -year contract with the Vancouver Canucks.

Internationally

For Sweden, Andersson took part in the U18 World Youth Championship 2009, as well as the U20 World Youth Championship, 2010. In the U20 Junior World Championships 2010 he won the bronze medal with his team. In addition to the inserts at the Junior World Championships he played many friendly matches in different age classes.
