Peter Bohlin

Peter Q. Bohlin ( born 1937 in New York City ) is an American architect who operates internationally.

Work

Peter Bohlin received his bachelor's degree in architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. The master he studied at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, he was in 1965 in Wilkes -Barre, co-founder of the architectural firm Bohlin Powell, which now operates under the name Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, with offices in Wilkes -Barre, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Seattle and San Francisco.

On behalf of Steve Jobs Peter Bohlin designed the 2001 completed headquarters of Pixar. For jobs he continued to work at several Apple stores, mainly the flagship stores, in the United States, France, Japan, Australia, China and the United Kingdom. Here, the glass cylinder of the store in Shanghai and the store in the Louvre in Paris, the glass cube of Apple stores emerged in the 5th Avenue in New York.

Peter Bohlin has been a guest lecturer in architecture at various American universities.

Awards

Peter Bohlin has been awarded several prizes for his work, including the 2010 Gold Medal of the American Institute of Architects.
