Peter Eastgate

Peter Eastgate ( born December 13, 1985) is a Danish professional poker player. On 11 November 2008, he won with 22 years as at that time the youngest player ever Main Event of the World Series of Poker, sparking from Phil Hellmuth, who held the record from 1989 to 2008. But won early in the following year 2009 Joseph Cada at age 21 the title. The youngest winner of a bracelet of the WSOP is Annette Obrestad. In July at the World Series of Poker 2010 Eastgate was surprisingly his retirement from poker known. However, he has already played in February 2011, again at the EPT Copenhagen.

Achievements

Eastgate won 9,152,416 U.S. dollars at the Main Event of the World Series of Poker 2008 in Las Vegas. In 2008 he took part at the European Poker Tour, where he landed at No. 32 (Denmark ) and 19 ( England) and won a total of 46 431 U.S. dollars. After his success at the World Series of Poker 2008, he was with 9,245,611 U.S. dollars only European in 7th place of the all-time money list winning poker player.

In the Main Event of the World Series of Poker 2009 he reached 6494 participants from 78th position and received 68 979 U.S. dollars.
