Peter Farrelly
Peter John Farrelly ( born December 17, 1956 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, United States) is an American screenwriter, film producer, film director and novelist.
Life
Already in her youth proved Peter and his brother Robert Farrelly much comic talent. After high school, the brothers try first as a salesman for beach accessories. In 1980 she reflect on her talent for comedy and try your hand at writing screenplays. It was not until ten years later, they manage to bring their ideas to the man - 1990 they sell two episodes of the television series Seinfeld and come as new entrants into the business. Almost four years later, following the breakthrough, the comedy Dumb and Dumber proves surprise hit of 1994, $ 200 million plays worldwide and established the actor Jim Carrey in the league of the most popular Hollywood actor. After the less successful comedy Kingpin (1996 ) they succeed with the blockbuster There's Something About Mary 1998, the big coup. This is followed by films such as I, Myself & Irene and Shallow Hal and the comedy Stuck on You ( 2003). In 2005, they rotate with Drew Barrymore romantic comedy A man for one season and 2007 After 7 days - Heartbreak. In 2011, they released the comedy allowed Everything - A week without rules. Both have been working since the 1990s on a film adaptation of The Three Stooges.
