Peter Fleming (tennis)

Peter Fleming ( born January 21, 1955 in Chatham, New Jersey) is an American former tennis player.

In the 1980s, he dominated with his partner John McEnroe the double in men's tennis. They together won 57 doubles titles, including Wimbledon four times (1979, 1981, 1983 and 1984) and three times the U.S. Open (1979, 1981 and 1983).

He won by the American team three times the Davis Cup ( 1979, 1981 and 1982 ) and twice the World Team Championship (1984, 1985).

Its highest ranking in the world rankings in singles was No. 8 in 1980. The double world rankings, he led in 1984.

In his career he won a total of three singles titles and 60 doubles title.

On March 1, 2010 Fleming was officially nominated for induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
