Peter Haggett

Peter Haggett ( born January 24, 1933) is a British Anthropogeograph.

The professor of the University of Bristol is an author and editor of over 30 works in particular for urban geography, regional geography and geographical analysis of the spread of infectious diseases.

After studying at the University of Cambridge and first appointments at the Universities of London and Cambridge, he has taught since 1966 at the University of Bristol, its vice- chancellor, he was from 1984 to 1985.

Haggett has received numerous honors British and international universities due to its academic merit and was appointed CBE and FBA. The honorary doctorate he received from the Universities of York ( Canada, 1983), Bristol (1986 ), Durham (1989 ), Copenhagen (1999 ), Helsinki (2003) and West England (2004) awarded.
