Peter Handford

Peter Handford (* March 21, 1919; † 6 November 2007) was a British engineer.

Handford has documented in World War II for the British troops to "D- Day", when on 6 June 1944 Allied troops landed in Normandy ( Operation Overlord ). Later he worked with, among others, Alfred Hitchcock.

1986 Peter Handford Award for Out of Africa with the Oscar for best sound.
