Peter Hedges
Peter Hedges ( born July 6, 1962 in Des Moines, Iowa) is an American author and screenwriter.
Hedges grew up in West Des Moines, Iowa where he graduated on the Valley High School. Later he studied at the North Carolina School of the Arts. His film career as a screenwriter starts with the adaptation of his novel What's Eating Gilbert Grape the movie Gilbert Grape - Somewhere in Iowa. In 2003, his screenplay for the film About a Boy was: The Day of the Dead Duck nominated for an Oscar.
