Peter Hurford

Peter Hurford ( born November 22, 1930 in Minehead, Somerset ) is a British organist and composer.

Hurford studied both music and law at Jesus College, Cambridge and graduated successfully from both studies. In particular, he has emerged as an organist. His interpretations of Bach are particularly well known, and he played the complete organ works of Bach on CD. Since 1958 he has been organist and choirmaster at the Abbey of St Albans.
