Peter J. Katzenstein

Peter Katzenstein ( born February 17, 1945 in Hamburg ) is a German political scientist and Walter S. Carpenter Jr. Professor of International Relations at Cornell University in Ithaca.

Katzenstein studied political science at the London School of Economics and at Swarthmore College, and received a Ph.D. from Harvard University. The British newspaper The Economist called him one of the most influential intellectuals in the field of international political economy. He is also a member of the influential Council on Foreign Relations.
