Peter Johnstone (mathematician)

Peter T. Johnstone ( born 1948 ) is a British mathematician.

Johnstone was 1974 when Frank Adams at the University of Cambridge PhD ( Some aspects of internal category theory in at elementary topos ). He is professor of foundations of mathematics at the University of Cambridge and Fellow of St. John 's College.

It deals with topos theory and applications of category theory in computer science.

In 1979, he was first with Peter Cameron winner of the Whitehead Prize.
