Peter Joseph

Peter Joseph (born 1978 in North Carolina ) is an American director of social criticism and partly conspiracy theo -driven films. He keeps secret his full legal name.

Joseph studied music in North Carolina and later moved to New York City where he worked in the advertising industry and as a trader. His father worked at the post office (USPS ), his mother a social worker.

Project Zeitgeist

In 2007 he wrote and produced his first film, Zeitgeist, in which he also directed. The film, which, inter alia, Has doubts about the historical existence of Jesus and conspiracy to September 11, 2001 on the content, he put on the Internet for free. He was reportedly seen so far of over 100 million people.

In his second film, Zeitgeist: Addendum, which he also published in 2008 on the Internet, it comes to the global financial system and the abolition of money as a way to a better world. He promotes the Venus Project of the American industrial designer and inventor Jacque Fresco. In order to make this project a reality, Peter Joseph founded in 2009 the Zeitgeist Movement. This grassroots movement organized among other sessions where Peter Joseph occurs as a speaker.

In his third film, Zeitgeist: Moving Forward from 2011, Peter Joseph explores issues of anthropology, neuroscience and economics and advertises again for Fresco's Venus Project. Unlike the other films here also serious scientists were interviewed who did not know the part in which precise relationship and their views would be provided, in part, they were paid for participation.

The two more recent Zeitgeist films are distributed free of charge via BitTorrent and the official YouTube channel of the project " The Zeitgeist Movement". Additionally, there is an offer to cover costs to acquire the movies on DVD. Peter Joseph emphasizes the fact, so to pursue any profit intention.
