Peter Kaack
Peter Kaack ( born April 28, 1941) is a former German football player, who played 299 Bundesliga games for Eintracht Braunschweig 1963-1973.
Career
He began his career Peter Kaack in youth at TSV Gadeland and then moved to ETSV Gut Heil Neumünster. There he played well beyond the adolescent still in national league team, before joining the men's team VfR Neumünster. Kaack graduated from 1961 to 1963 for the VfR Neumünster in the Oberliga Nord 48 league games ( a hit ) and moved in 1963 to Eintracht Braunschweig in the newly founded Bundesliga. On August 24, 1963 the first round of the first Bundesliga season, Kaack first came in the 1-1 draw against TSV 1860 München used. He immediately became a regular player and completed in the first year 27 games. During this season he also played four junior internationals for the DFB. Even his first goal he scored the same in the premiere season on 12 game against 1.FC Kaiserslautern to 1:2 draw. In the following seasons, he was able to maintain its place in the defense of the Braunschweig Lions and then also had great interest in the sensational winning the German Cup in season 1966 /67.
In the European Cup 1967/68 season, the Braunschweig were allowed to participate as a champion of last year at the European Champions Cup. Kaack came in the two knockout games against SK Rapid Wien to use and was also the quarter-final against Juventus on the court. 's 3-2 home win Kaack scored three hits - but two of them were tragically own goals. Even after 12 minutes bounced a shot of the Italian Giuseppe Favalli of Kaacks shin into his own goal. In the 1971/72 season Kaack graduated five matches in the UEFA Cup, but failed with his team in the second round at Ferencvaros Budapest.
Overall Kaack denied 299 Bundesliga appearances for Eintracht Braunschweig, where he scored two goals. There were also 22 times in the DFB Cup and European Cup in ten games.
After the retirement he worked for a sporting goods company. Today Peter Kaack moved back to his home Neumünster.
