Peter Krause

Peter Krause ( born August 12, 1965 in Alexandria, Minnesota) is an American film and television actor.

Life and work

In his youth, Krause was the son of a teacher couple, a promising athlete who had to end this career in pole vault in high school after an accident. Later he moved to the Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, and was interested in during his studies of English literature for the theater. He decided to become an actor and went after graduating from New York University to take part in the " Master of Fine Arts " program.

He took over at the beginning of the 90s guest roles in TV series such as Seinfeld, Beverly Hills, 90210 and Cybill and minor roles in lesser known TV series and movies. In 1998, he landed a small role in the film The Truman Show alongside Jim Carrey.

While he was working as a bartender, he met the writer Aaron Sorkin know. From 1998 to 2000 Krause played the character Casey McCall on the ABC comedy Sports Night, which was developed by his friend Sorkin. Although the series was praised by critics, it did not succeed to bind a loyal fan base in itself and therefore was canceled after two seasons.

International Krause was his role as Nate Fisher in the HBO hit series Six Feet Under - Died is always known which started in 2001 in the U.S. and Krause to break through. Krause has received numerous awards and nominations for his portrayal of Nate undertaker. The series ended in the U.S. in 2005 with the fifth season.

Currently, he is in a relationship with his fellow actress Lauren Graham.
