Peter L. Cashman

Peter L. Cashman ( May 22nd, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American politician. Between 1973 and 1975 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Connecticut.

Career

In 1959, Peter Cashman graduated from the Yale University. Later he lived in Lyme (Connecticut). To date, he has worked in the investment industry. Politically, he joined the Republican Party. In 1972 he was an alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention, was nominated to the President Richard Nixon for re-election. Between 1970 and 1976 he was a member of the Senate of Connecticut. There he served as President Pro Tempore acting chairman of this committee. The official chair always leads there, the Lieutenant Governor. Following the resignation of Lieutenant Governor T. Clark Hull Cashman was his successor in accordance with the constitution of Connecticut. He was deputy governor Thomas Joseph Meskill. In 2012, Cashman worked as a managing director of a news magazine in Fairfield, which is concerned primarily with energy consumer issues.
