Peter Lindmark

Peter Lindmark ( born November 8, 1956 in Kiruna ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender who played in his time from 1974 to 1999 including for the Timrå IK, Färjestad BK, Malmö IF and Luleå HF in the Elitserien.

Career

Peter Lindmark began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at the IFK Kiruna, for the first team, he was active from 1974 to 1979 - first in the season 1974/75 in the then second-rate Division 2 and then after the foundation of Elitserien as the highest Swedish league in the new second division, the Division 1 From 1979 to 1984 played goalkeeper for the Timrå IK, with whom he ran aground in the 1981/82 season in the Elitserien and in the other four years in Division 1. In 1981 he received the Guldpucken as the best Swedish player. For the 1984/85 season he moved to Färjestad BK of the Elitserien. He pointed to the lowest Gegentorschnitt and the best fishing quota the League in his first year. The following season he won with his team for the first time the Swedish championship title. He could repeat with the FBK in the season 1987/88 this success. He was also in the 1986/87 season with the team runner-up and received the Guldhjälmen as most valuable player of the Elitserien.

In the summer of 1988, Lundmark joined the second division Malmö IF, with whom he reached the ascent two years later in the Elitserien. In the seasons 1991/92 and 1993/94 he became Swedish Champion with Malmö. In the 1994/95 season, he was also again the goalkeeper with the best catch rate of Elitserien. At European level, he won the European Cup with Malmö in 1992/93. After nine years of the Swedish Malmo IF left in 1997. For the 1998/99 season he was once again a contract with the Elitserien Luleå HF - participant, but in which he only in two games as a substitute goalkeeper in the squad was to be used without itself. He then finished his career at the age of 42 years. As a total of 119 ice hockey player, he received the award in Sweden in many popular sports award Stor Grabb for reaching a certain score in each sport.

Internationally

For Sweden Lindmark participated in the World Championships 1981, 1982, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1989 and 1991. At the World Championships in 1981 and 1986, he was elected the best goalkeeper of the tournament and in the All-Star team.
