Peter Lines

Peter Lines ( born December 11, 1969 in Leeds ) is an English professional snooker player.

Career

The professional career of Peter Lines began 1991 by qualifying for the Snooker Main Tour. Twice he was able to defend its position among the best snooker players, then he lost his professional status. Mid-90s, he played with the amateur tournaments and in 1996 was the final of the English Amateur Championships.

Then he succeeded again to return to the professional tour and he could better this time claiming. 1998 Lines managed to qualify for the main round of the World Snooker Championship and the following year he reached at the China International with the quarter-finals his best finish at a Main Tour tournament. He defeated in the first round even the leaders in the world rankings John Higgins. At the end of the season he had achieved his highest position in the world ranking with number 42.

This power he could not confirm, however, in the sequence. He could indeed hold in the next five years on the tour, but dropped out for the second time from among the professionals.

Although Lines already approached the 40, he sought again after his return, and worked together with the famous coach Steve Prest. In 2008, he then succeeded again to return to the tour and after a year he was able to qualify again for the top 64.
