Peter Marti

After his junior time in Langenthal Marti started his football career first in the juniors and then in the first team of BSC Young Boys. He moved in 1972 to Zurich. In the Cup final in 1973, he scored the first goal as FC Zurich 2-0 after extra time against Basel won the Swiss Cup.

In the summer of 1975 Marti moved to FC Basel and coach Helmut Benthaus. In Basel, he played seven years with interruptions; he played in the 1981/82 season for FC Aarau. With the FCB twice he was Swiss champion and three times Uhrencupsieger. In 1983 Marti moved permanently to Aarau, where he also finished his football career.

Peter Marti played six times for the Swiss national team.
