Peter McDonald (actor)

Peter McDonald ( born January 28, 1972 in Dublin, Ireland) is an Irish actor and director, both for film, television and theater. His short film Pentecost 2012 was nominated for an Oscar.

Life

Peter McDonald grew up in Mount Merrion, South Dublin. His mother Brenda Costigon is a cookbook author. He graduated from Trinity College in Du8blin and then studied at University College Dublin English and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Fine Arts in English. Already at the university he began to play theater, then he worked for the " Fly By Nights Theatre Company ," in which he appeared in several plays by Conor McPherson.

His film started in 1997 with Karrieres Tough Boys - Gunfight at. He also appeared in several television series. In 2000 he won the Irish Film and Television Awards for Best Actor for the film Salt Water.

In 2011 he turned his short film Pentecost, which was nominated for an Oscar in 2012.
